I have to admit that this change is minor I would normally not collect such a minor change as I am a type bank note collector. But I found this anamoly interesting and affordable to collect. The word "The" was removed from the Federal Reserve Bank District seal changing "The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis" to "Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis". It was removed as a design and formatting adjustment by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. It was not driven by any legislative change, but rather to clean up the typography and make the bank names fit symmetrically inside the circular seal.
