The Series 1928 is the first release of the small size Federal Reserve Notes with a green Treasury Seal and Serial Numbers. The "Numeric" name comes from the Federal Reserve Seal that contained the Federal Reserve Bank Numeric Code; 1-Boston, 2-New York, etc. for all 12 Federal Reserve Banks. The Numeric was only used for Series 1928 and 1928A bank notes.
