AFFORDABLE TYPE SET

WHAT IS A TYPE SET? A bank note type set is a collection that features one example of each bank note type (i.e. Silver Certificate, Federal Reserve Note, National Bank Note), denomination, design changes and/or series changes, rather than all variations. Variation examples include signature combinations, plate number placements, different U.S. Treasury seals or Federal Reserve Bank seals. Collecting every bank note ever printed is often impossible due to rarity or cost. Type sets offer a realistic way to complete a collection that provides a road map of what you want to collect so that you aren't duplicating notes already in your collection.
